‘Wellness Wednesday’ at Lavender Co

We pride ourselves on ensuring all needs are met, seen and cared for.

The disability support industry can have its own unique set of challenges, and we take great pride in the focus we put on our team and communities’ mental health.

With R U OK day recently, we took the opportunity to check in on those around us and offer an open conversation about how we are feeling. Mental health is just as important as our physical health, and we all have ups and downs - it’s part of being human. Being a part of a community means taking a moment to ask the question, actively listen and offer support to those around us.

We take this a ways further to ensure this type of care and thoughtfulness is integrated into the way we interact on a daily basis, and make sure little acts of kindness are just part of the way we do things at Lavender Co.

Celebrating the efforts of our team is important to us, and helps to lift the culture of the Lavender Co community as a whole. The compassion and work that our team puts in each and every day to offer the standard of care we have at Lavender Co doesn’t go overlooked.

To facilitate this, each month we hold a staff social event to bring our Lavender Co team together to connect freely and encourage a positive environment and build a support community for our staff.

Further to this, we encourage our team to  ‘take a moment’ to relax and refocus. This week, for ‘Wellness Wednesday’, our team received a specially put together pack including the beautiful ‘Breathe’ magazine, a tea bag and a chocolate.

We are proud to be mental health aware and conscious within our community, and have the ability to show care and compassion where we can.

Thank you to everyone who makes what we do at Lavender Co possible.
