What is Disability Housing?
At its core, disability housing focuses on accessibility, ensuring that homes are equipped with features and modifications that facilitate mobility and navigation for people with disabilities.
However, it also extends to considerations of sensory, cognitive, and developmental needs, incorporating features like sensory carpets, calming spaces and communication aids to support guests with diverse requirements.
It provides a sense of belonging and stability for individuals who may face barriers to accessing mainstream housing options.
